Fallacy in Logic said:

The fallacy of hasty generalization occurs when someone makes a general statement based on an insufficient or nonrepresentative sample, rather than looking at a broader range of available data. In other words, a conclusion is drawn about the whole or majority of the whole on the basis of too few examples, resulting in a lack of evidence to support the conclusion.
