My problem though is with this: "The Rome-based institute has examined medical records of about 18% of the country’s coronavirus fatalities…" The sample size is approaching 20%, 1/5 but ideally 50% or more would be better although whether that is possible remains to be seen. Here's the study referenced in the article. It's in Italian but translates pretty good with Google.
What is confirmed again here however is the high ages of the deceased with 79.5 being the average.
